Welcome back, motoring movie mavens! A bit chilly here this week, but you'll find our in-car heaters are up to the task of keeing you toasty while you enjoy this weeks bill.

In this film, Formula 1 comes to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (but no European F1 drivers would come to Indy until a couple of years later).

And Indy cars come to Monza! In the first of the two "Race of Two Worlds" events (1957 and 1958), an envelope-bodied Jag takes the lead, but is eventually lapped. Though a number of Formula 1 teams had agereed to race, they withdrew, citing the risk of "mass suicide". And yet, there were no crashes in this 1957 specatcle.
