Not my mystery but Curbside Classic is featuring an usual car. Anyone have an idea on it?

The photo was taken at the Reschensee or Lago di Resia in northern Italy, close to the Austrian border. The car looks to be Volkswagen-based, but I don't think anybody got any further with it.
