The Stallion looks like a slightly modified Mitsubishi to me.

Is Bali a country? I believe it is one of the islands that make up Indonesia

The car doesnt necessarily need to be built as an original car from that country, it just need to at leadt be modified in some way in that country either internally or visually, demonstrated by Oguerrob’s answer for Sti Lanka. The tuned Toyota Vios.

Bali is a province, but any country and territory is allowed. Such as how we’ve already used Places like Puerto Rico and Guernsey.

I disagree about Bali having a similar status as Puerto Rico or Guernsey. As you said, Bali is just one of 34 provinces of Indonesia (in fact, 31 provinces, two special regions and a capital region). Are we now looking for cars from Bengkulu, Lampung etc? We could just as well start listing cars from all 101 French départements, the 16 German federal states or the 50 US states. Which takes us to Puerto Rico that, as you might know, is not a state, but just a territory of the United States. Here your territory rule applies justly. Guernsey is a Crown dependency and it is not part of the United Kingdom, not even part of the European Union. It even has its own international licence plate country code, GBG.
After all, it is your game and these are just my thoughts about clarity of the rules.

I imagined this argument would come up at some point in this thread and I have to agree with Wendax that we should take actual political status into account when we post cars from territories that are not independent states. But maybe the simplest solution would be to avoid this altogether and just stick to countries with state status.

Or even easier to verify: one car per international licence plate country code.

I see what you guys mean. And its my mistake for not clarifying this earlier. I expected this to come up now since we’ve reached the point where it is gonna get hard to try and find something.

I like what you stated Wendax about Bali not being a territory and thats my fault for not noticing that earlier, I’ve been following the U.S Department of State for countries but they lack in territories so instead of assuming ill make sure look it up first.

This goes along with what Oguerrob said about just looking at Wikipedia first before you post a car from a place that might not seem like a recognizable country or territory. That would be a really smart thing to do so incidents like this dont happen again.

Personally i think its just too late to mess up the game because now we’ve reached the point where we have to hunt to find these cars. A simple search like ‘Car from Burkina Faso’ wont cut it anymore. So this is the really exciting part and I dont want to lose it here.

That would make things very interesting. We could get potentially a car from Danzig (which briefly had a country code) and some countries could come in twice (Y and YU or R and RO) despite not changing politically

I recently found a list I have that has almost every country I know a car for and I have 124.5 countries on my own list
(.5 because I have the Isle Of Wright on there)

We as of right now have 76 countries + Territories on our list. That's pretty good!

Our goal right now is to surpass 124.5 and see if we can go even further. Lets keep on going!

You can cross the 0.5 off because the Isle of Wight is not and never has been a country!
It is of course part of England, hence the United Kingdom and is no more a country than Martha's Vineyard or Long Island!

I have to make sure that the list is modern, so I made sure that we couldnt use places that arent countries or territories anymore. So no like Yugoslavia or Rhodesia or anything despite being very popular ex-countries

Edit: you guys can use cars that were built in ex-countries as their modern day countries. (Ex: Rhodesia > Zimbabwe/Namibia) it’s just easier to use cars that way. I know a car that was built in Rhodesia but is now modern day Namibia, and its the only car I know from that area. So if you guys wanna use a car that was built in the Yugoslavia area but you wanna label it as any of the countries it turned into, be my guest.

Oguerrob do you know if you can just change this to Indonesia? I’ll just put you down as the one for Indonesia.

It seems that the nation that is the world's largest producer of automobiles hasn't been done yet, so here it goes:
China: Geely Fengyin Concept, back from a time (2006) when Chinese companies hadn't quite got the hang of car design yet. They've come a long way since then.

Just a small correction: The name of the company is Zastava ("flag" in Serbian)

Also, since we're at it, the "i" is missing from the word "Encyclopedia" in the thread title.
