Title: Jagman's E-Type Restoration
Post by: Otto Puzzell on May 05, 2007, 06:15:26 AM
Jagman Dave takes us through the painstaking labor of lust the transformed a tinworm-ravaged and Bondo-laden '69 Jaguar to a stunning work of automotive art, befitting his nickname.

I know I've seen it before, but that's an incredible transformation. I'd have a tough time ever parting with a machine after putting that kind of blood, sweat, and tears into it.

Thank you, thank you all. It was a hell of a learning experience, that's for sure.

Still, it's one of the sweetest cars ever built, so how could you not try and save one?

Here's a link to another site for a much more involved restoration of an E-Type done by a friend of mine in Ca. This guy not only did metal work, he painted his own car, and built a plating device to replate the pieces, plus he built his own powder coating setup! Be prepared to spend a bit of time with this one, it's very detailed with tons of great pics and explanations but a great story - and the car turned out wonderfully!

You're welcome...............makes for a long but fascinating read if you plow thru it all.

Bill's a hell of a nice guy, we've been exchanging email about his resto off and on for a while now. He needs to update the site tho, I noticed. He's actually had the car on the road for a while now. He sent me another link to the updates a while back, I'll see if I still have it.
