Thank you, thank you all. It was a hell of a learning experience, that's for sure.
Still, it's one of the sweetest cars ever built, so how could you not try and save one?
Here's a link to another site for a much more involved restoration of an E-Type done by a friend of mine in Ca. This guy not only did metal work, he painted his own car, and built a plating device to replate the pieces, plus he built his own powder coating setup! Be prepared to spend a bit of time with this one, it's very detailed with tons of great pics and explanations but a great story - and the car turned out wonderfully!
