I wonder if this one might stump you?

340 America chassis 0202A wearing Devin fiberglass body and sitting on the trailer of Tom Shaughnessy. Here's a photo I took of my old 250 GTE at the same location (Tom's avocado ranch) not long after. Notice the discarded Devin front clip in the background. :)

Well done, I didn’t think the Diva body would fool you.

It has been a while since my last visit to AutoPuzzles, and today I'm back just to find this amazing challenge. I already believe it will be almost impossible, but I start with an easy one.

The OP hasn't visited the site for nearly a month. You'll have a long wait. BTW I know the answer!

Wow. I was quite surprised when they told me. Looks like Vallone's Ferrari, but it's not.

If you know the answer then I'm pretty certain gte4289 will as well...

I sent him an email to ask if all is well but I received no reply.

It looks rather like he's fallen out with us by why I have no idea.

Paul, sorry but I've been ill and so I'm just getting around to this!

5.   I must solve each puzzle within a reasonable period of time (no automatically imposed time limit due to my busy schedule)
An entire month is definitely not a reasonable period of time, so you've earned one point just for that.

It's almost 1 am here, so I'll look into this one tomorrow. (You'll get a second point if I'm unable to do solve it.) Thanks for playing!

Thank you. I believe yor puzzle shows 166 S chassis# 001S of Domenico Tramontana circa 1952. Here are more images of what I believe to be the same car:

It was the thread's most challenging car so far. Thanks!

As mentioned above, I gave you a point for my delayed response. :)

Post an image of an early Ferrari (subject to the rules set forth below), and earn a point 2 points if I am unable to identify the car by chassis number...
I will award double points for the rest of this month. :)

I know this is not what you intended with this thread, but maybe you can help out. This photo has appeared on another website, and has everyone baffled. The car was seen at a classic car support event at the 1987 Italian GP - looks to me like someone's idea of a '64 GTO crossed with a Drogo. Whatever, I reckon it's not the best-looking Fezza out there. Any ideas?

Belay that ! It's an ASA 411 GTS and clearly the owner thought that entitled him to display a prancing horse.
