Nice to see you all, guys.

Well, it was three years ago, but not much did change since then.
And like Otto Puzzell I chose an indirect photo of mine.

Burkhard from Germany.

PS: I already met Allen L in Birmingham at the NEC in 2012 and Arunas at IAA in 2015

I found this (very) old photo the other day. It was taken circa 1976, hence the long hair and Mexican moustaches of the era. It's of no use whatsoever in providing AP members with an idea of my appearance, but for some reason I find it fascinating - I suppose it's just to satisfy myself that I post it here.

I'm the guy in mufti - second from the left at the back, scorer for Eaton CC in the Norfolk League. The guy to my right ( extreme left) was my best friend through primary school, grammar school and onwards, which is how I ended up scoring for the team. He opened the batting for Norfolk Schoolboys  and went on to become a well-known and feared fast bowler. (Well known in Norfolk junior club cricket.....)

I'm pretty sure the photo was taken at Aldborough, a small village in North Norfolk, and the pitch was the village green, surrounded on all sides by roads and housing. The village pub ran alongside one side of the green, and anyone fielding at deep mid-wicket could just have the time to nip in, get a pint pulled, and return to his position before the next over started. Happy days.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Here's a picture of als15, Carnut and jotage21 together at Retromobile Paris on Friday 10th February 2017.
It was taken at the Motor Mania stand where Alessandro was signing his latest book, the Encyclopaedia of Italian Carrozzeria and it was really great to meet jotage21 there too!

On 18 July the Hungarian Automobile Club held an awards ceremony. For our work in the classic car culture field, József Maróti, Károly Borsche and yours truly received a medal, the St Christoph Cross of Merit.
That's me with not much hair in the middle :)

Relaxing on the back porch at our Florida home with a Partagas #1 and a nice single-malt scotch (not visible - in fact, I think it's gone already). I love our New York home, but I seem to mind the cold a bit more these days, so we head south every winter.

Part of the joy of retirement is finally having enough time to really enjoy my cars . . . Both new:

And not quite so new . . . .

Oh, and congratulations pnegyesi . . . very well deserved indeed.

Love the colour of your early 'Vette. So many of them are red/white or turquoise/white. It looks very subtle in that shade - well chosen.

Fawn Beige; a very unusual color for 1962 Corvettes. Only 1851 cars out of over 14,000 built that year were Fawn Beige. The minute my wife saw the color, she said we were taking it home with us - so, I ask you . . . what was I to do?  It does get a lot of positive comments at local shows . . . and it drives even nicer than it looks with the 300hp 327 / 4-speed.

My daughter took this photo with her phone at the recent Goodwood Revival. That's her and her fiance, and you have to guess which one is me,
