Wow! Excellent photos Grob - thanks for sharing them with us.

You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Allemano

Great pics, very impressive!
Now I know where the PF 300 SEL was exhibited.

Vincent Vell Vet

We are so limited here in the USofA as to the variety of cars around compaired to Your Up, Ian. ( ;D)

And if someone pulled a gun to my head and said you HAVE to choose a favorite car RIGHT NOW or you're a DEAD DUCK!!!
That car would have to be a Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada.
Unrestored, origonal, and well used.

grobmotorix

Yes, the Bizzarrini is sheer drama. I´ve seen another one at Spa racetrack recently:

What's car #1? Is it BMW 328 related?

And car #14?

And are all cars on those old black and white pictures on pic #18 Bugattis? Do you have any information on the left one? Or is it a upcoming puzzle?

grobmotorix

#10
#1 is a BMW 328 based Veritas racing car, indeed.

#14 is a Franklin

#18 are all Bugattis. The photos were quite expensive, so I did not buy them but made some spy shots... :D
I do not have any further information.

Make them a puzzle and we will know more, I´m sure. ;)

Vincent Vell Vet

Wow, I haven't seen to many ugly Bugattis. The upper left one looks like a sectioned '47 Chevy truck!!!  :yuck:

While searching for something else, I came across this series of photos.  They're great!  But there's one car I'm having trouble identifying.  It's the 8th photo down from the top, a Mercedes-Benz that looks like a high-roof limousine.  I've done a bunch of searching, but can't come up with an identification for it.  Can ya help me out with it?  I've attache the photo to this post.

Thanks,

RtR

I think it has just been a perfectly fitting roof case for the guests´ luggage of this very exclusive hotel limousine.

Wendax

"Les Trois Rois" is a high-class hotel in Basel, Switzerland. This Mercedes-Benz 600 was used as a hotel limousine. The roof box was meant for carrying the guests' skis.
The luggage rack was an optional extra for the 600, but only four cars were ordered with that extra, two of them by "Les Trois Rois".

RayTheRat

Thanks to both of you.  I appreciate the info.
