Great pictures, great cars. Even some great Italians - including the fabulous Lancia Beta Montecarlo, or Scorpion as it was called in the US. I know a guy that has put a 2-litre Delta Integrale engine in the back of one of those and stripped it of all excess weight. Goes like stink!

That's pretty much what you had to do to keep the US versions running: strip everything out, replace entire drivetrain with something decent, replace all electrics, pray.

Lovely cars though. I've always thought the Monte Carlo/Scorpion was a gorgeous little tetanus bucket/money sink.

That aside, nice to see that MaxN has made it here from the Car Lounge. One of my favorite posters over there. :)

Sounds like a recipe for owning an Italian car. Especially that last part...

That '57 'Vette is sweet. Second only to the '56 among first-gen Corvettes, IMO.
