ok now I am stuck. I understood there were 2 meetings at Montlhery in 1954. In the April meeting there was the coupe de Paris which was a sort of formula libre, and the coupe de printemps for sports cars . The October meeting was the coupe de Salon for sports cars, with additional races for monomilles and production cars.

The car in question does not look like a sports car - it has no mudguards - hence my suggestion for the coupe de paris, it does not seem to fit any of the other categories. Can you point me to my error?

You probably know a lot more about racing cars and races than I do. All I have is a hand-written note on the back of this picture (both available online) which says that the photo was taken at the Coupe de Salon in 1954.
