Wanderer W24 Geländesportroadster?  I was confused because I was only seeing the "Teutonic Shield" grille on W24s.  But I found a few examples of the grille shown on this car.

Thanks!  I had never heard of the whole Geländesport kind of 1930s off-road vehicles.  There were several of them, including Mercedes-Benz and some Auto Union and Wanderer cars.  Is there even a way to distinguish these 1930s Wanderer models visually?  The only real differences I see are hood louvers, which vary with coachbuilder, and the Teutonic Shield vs. the standard grille.

AP makes you smarter with every puzzle... The reasons for the upswing in off-road sport (with two and four-wheelers) in Germany in the 1930s are probably obvious.
he similarity with the aforementioned W 22 and the puzzle W 250 is probably due to the fact that they are technically very closely related. The coachbuilder was therefore obviously able to use many identical parts.

According to the Wanderer book by Erdmann / Westermann the Geländesport car with the registration number IV-54011 was a W 22, driven already in 1934 by Graf Carl Max von Sandizell at the Internationale Alpenfahrt (first picture below). The three 1935 W 250 Geländesport cars had the registration numbers IV-55097 to IV-55099 (second picture).
