Yes, it is a Benz MS from 1923. In the tables I know, only 1923 is mentioned as the year of construction, but there are indications that it was built until 1924. So, this is your next point. You found this quite rare truck quite quickly!
Our puzzle truck is now ready for departure...The Benz MS was probably the first front-wheel-drive forward control drive vehicle with the design that is still common today: seats to the right and left of the engine. The design emphasised a low frame height, as it was primarily intended for refuse collection vehicles but also for buses. But the first test trucks only had a simple superstructure. However, the concept was probably too far ahead of its time and production was discontinued after a year.
