Sorry, but I'm not 100% sure if this maker existed before 1905 as information on this company seems to be very limited.

Do you know where the company was stablished, and in such case was it London?

Yes, from the limited information I have, it seems that the vehicle was made in London.

Neither steam or electric, as I believe it is petrol-powered.

Double name?
No, a single name, named after the vehicle's creator.

Is this the taxicab designed by Mr. Mr. Stephen A. Marples in 1907? So the name that you ask could be MARPLES.

:applause: Hey, at last, that's the one! Very well done Luisps, and a much-deserved point to you. The Marples taxi was built briefly in the High Holborn area of London by Stephen A. Marples.

Thanks Djetset, it has been a very nice investigation for me. But in reality this car has a lot of information in the web. Lok for " A New Design for a London Motorcab." in the Magazine "The Commercial Motor" 27th June 1907, Page 3. You'll see a full technical description with several pictures of the cab.

Ah, thanks for the tip Luisps. I found my limited information and Puzzle picture in a very old book about London taxis, and struggled to find anything more about it on the internet.
