Solved: Rust never sleeps - 2017 edition
« on: April 16, 2017, 09:25:52 AM »
Time for a new edition of my group puzzle of neglected cars and mind boggling geographical connections. To earn a point, you have to identify a car as well as the somehow related location and explain their connection. Some ties are straightforward, some surely aren't. To make it a bit more confusing there is one vehicle with a combination of two places as an answer. Have fun!

I've probably got this all wrong, but do the cyclists in 'I' and 'P' go together in the wonderful cartoon film 'Belleville Rondezvous'?

Well, you got the Place P right, but you have to match it with a car of the pictures "Rust 1" to "Rust 15".  ;)

Place C is correct, but unfortunately Rust 3 is not a Motalli.

If rust 3 isn't a Motalli is very similar except for the flat side...
Let me try another couple: Rust 7 is a MOCHET Velocar Place I is a cycles race with a MOCHET Velo-Velocar in front.

Yes, but you have to find the connected place for the point.

Yes, the first right combination with the right connection. Just tell me which bicycle race the picture shows, and the first point is for you.

Assuming you mean Place B I have to tell you that it is not Leipzig.

I think I found another couple the rust 6 is a Delaunay-Belleville and the place P, if this is a part of the French cartoon movie "Les Triplettes de Belleville", in such case they are related by their names.

If rust 15 is a UMM, and place C the monument "25 de Abril" in Lisbon both are from Portugal.

Looks to me that I've find another correct pair Rust 5 is the DKW F89 van that was made in Alemania (in Ingolstaad), Spain (by Imosa in Vitoria) and Argentina (by IASFSA). Place L it's a photo of the ruins of what was the factory of IASFSA (Industria Automotriz Santa Fe, S.A. where was built that van as model DKW 1000

Well observed and I am sure you can use some of this information further on, but Rust 5 was not built in Argentina, thus Rust 5-Place L is not a right combination.
