The puzzle bus ist the first Car-Alpin, type R, bulit by FBW in 1922 for the Swiss Postal Service.
So this is your next point.

According to the production register the pictured postal bus #2819 was not built in 1922. It was a FBW Type R1, powered by an Oberursel engine and bodied by Carrosserie Eckert/SIG. It was delivered on June 25, 1923. It wore the FBW production number 0196.

My source is the FBW book by Kurt Sahli. According to this book, the difference to the R1 was, among other things, the introduction of the Oberursel engine and the replacement of the solid rubber tyres with pneumatic tyres...
