It is an Alvis chassis - the engi ne is unusual but not a Ford.

 ;D You read my mind! I thought I might as well use it as a puzzle, I thought nobody would remember. Well done, I underestimated the AP membership. It was based on an Alvis Crested Eagle, but that's all I know.
