Is the base from a specialist manufacturer like TVR or Turner?

Less specialist than Turner; more like TVR.

Is Ginetta too low volume?

I think it is, yes.  But it's not Ginetta-based..

It's a Sammio Spyder body designed to fit a Reliant scimitar SE5.

Aha - progress!
It is a Sammio based around a Reliant Scimitar, but it's not a Spyder body.
Look into it again and identify what model it is for your point.
Locked for you of course.

I thought this would be simple but had forgotten there were two entirely different Scimitars. I then found out that the Sammio company had been sold before this particular model had been fully developed. The new owners did not continue with it. I was known as the G46.

Actually there were 3 different Scimitars, the SE4, SE5 and SS!
I would have been very cross if an SE4 has been sacrificed to create this car, but losing an SE5 is no great disaster!
And yes, the Sammio body is a G46, which was finished off by the builder of this car,
So, well done and you get a point!
