was this car brand built in fairly large numbers for that period of time?

I don't know how many were built, but the numbers must have been low. It was a small marque that did not last very long.

Correct, it is indeed a product of the short-lived G. J. G. Motor Car Co. of White Plains, NY (named after its founder George John Grossman). Now please tell me the particular name given to this body style to complete the puzzle. It was not just called Roadster but something more adventurous. Locked of course.
