Fellow Autopuzzlers, for a point please identify this vehicle, what it's based on and what powers it.

It's none of these things but now I'm curious about the specific car that you seem to have in mind...

Car is titled as a 1936 Ford, uses a Chevrolet straight-6 engine.  On 1934 Chevrolet truck frame.

sixtee5cuda got it. This car was offered for sale last year in Omaha, Nebraska. It appears that its builder was trying to recreate something akin to a Bentley using mainly GM/Chevy components, but also added some Ford elements here and there and decided to label it as a Ford . In fact at first it was titled as "1934 Ford", I suppose because of the year of the chassis, but later it was inexplicably switched to 1936.
