Fellow Autopuzzlers, for a point please tell me the marque and year of this venerable vehicle, and what kind of engine powers it.

Point for Hiawatha. This four-wheeled model was introduced by Ariel Motorcycles of Birmingham in 1899 according to the Ariel Motorcycle Club of North America, although this particular unit was apparently built in 1901, according to the press release that accompanied its auction in 2013. It was equipped with a 345 cc, 3 1/8 hp De Dion engine.
