The "Who" of Arab were J.G. Parry Thomas and Reid Railton. The Arab was made in Letchworth in 1926-7 but production had barely started when Parry Thomas was killed in a Speed Record attempt on Pendine Sands (3/3/27). A total of 12 cars were made including some put together from parts by Thomson and Taylor at Brooklands (where Railton had become Technical Director) after the company’s demise.

There are some obvious differences between the car in your photo and the puzzle car. We are looking for the "who" and "when" of the puzzle car, which wears unique coupe coachwork (by whom and done when?).

Oh in that case it is probably the one that was given a sports-coupé body in 1930 by A.P. Compton for Tim Powell. It was mentioned in Motor Sport some 15 years ago but I remember it being offered for sale in a delapidated state - I thought it too far gone and it was bought by Brian Demaus who restored it to look as the photo below and wrote up the process. He confirmed my feelings for it!
