No interest from the Rookies so up to the Experts.
A slight moving of the goalposts for the experts:
Name the car and it's engine
For a bonus name the driver and where the photo was taken

can't reply to PM since @allan L mailbox is full. But short version is this:
I wasn't accusing anyone of anything. This seems like very obscure knowledge and I was simply curious.

VW-powered?  No, but you are on the right track

Ford block?  No

I am dying to know, is how in the world would you ever guess such an obscure guess - Answer:  Because Allan knows my background from another group.  Simply, I spent some years in Kenya as a boy and saw this car race in period.

Spot on.  I somehow thought you would get it.  two points coming your way

If I remember correctly after 50 years, Biondi's mother called him "Aurelio" - hence the 'A' in the car's name.

Just for interest, can you name the hill in the background of this photo in the paddock at Nakuru?  (No points for that)

Is it part of the Menengai Crater?

Nope.  When you sat on the hill watching the racing you could see Menengai Crater behind the track and the town.

I don't think anyone, even gte4289, will get this - it's one you either know or you don't and can't guess or get logically.
The hill overlooking Nakuru Track was called Honeymoon Hill (I don't know why)

I never would have gotten that.
