2007 Zhonghua (Brilliance Auto) JinJue Coupe
« on: October 18, 2006, 09:35:18 PM »

I respect Zhonghua because they are the only Chinese company to bring out respectable and damn good looking production cars, not just vaporware and concepts like Chery and cheap ugly econo boxes like Geely. They have also recently developed some new engines, one being the 125 kilowatt 1.8 litre turbo 4 banger so they have their priorities set straight. This thing will be awesome when released, perhaps the best Chinese car imo just after the other Zhonhua vehicles.

People complain that the cars look like other cars, but let's be real here--what cars today are really all that original? The Bangle BMWs that everyone loves to bash, maybe?

Part of the reason the interior bits look like other cars is because Zhonghau is apparently using Western suppliers--and I say GOOD. It's not like they're the only ones. Once they're all released on market, go sit back to back in the new Saturn Outlook, Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Altima, and check out the climate controls. They're almost indistinguishable from each other, because all three companies went with a common supplier. It happens, and in this case, it's not a bad thing, since the controls are all quite nice.

Zhonghau definitely seems to be ahead of the curve of everyone else.

Interior does look pretty good. Exterior is hard to tell but it looks a bit like a 6-series BMW

Looks like a very good design with quality fit and finish.  Wonder when these will get to the states?

My biggest complaint:

Yellow car w/ a red interior?
