Title: Carrozzeria Viotti
Post by: als15 on August 03, 2012, 10:10:09 AM
Hoping not to be inopportune, I post some pictures of my last work:

"Carrozzeria Viotti"

It's a 168-page hard-cover book featuring all the history and model of this old Turin coachbuilder. Viotti made special bodies between 1921 and 1964 on Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Isotta-Fraschini, Itala, Maserati, Lancia and others.

The book will be on sale in September, at 39.90 Euros cover price.

I forgot to say a very important thing: the books is both in Italian and English (thanks to our Carnut).
I hope it will help non-Italian enthusiasts to enjoy it.  :)

Ok, you all can have it in early September.
But if you want to pre-order it, I'll send it you free of shipping costs in Italy and with just a 5 Euros contribute for the rest-of-world.
who is interested can just send me the money on my PayPal account (als15@libero.it).

You can exploit the same offer to combine (free) shipping with all the books published by us (www.ilcammello.it (http://www.ilcammello.it)) as well as the new ones coming in September with Viotti: "Fiat 125. 1967-1972" and the excellent Pal Negyesi's "Cars made in Hungary" (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=18003.0).  ;)

Yes, it's correct, but it seems that the provider has some trouble. I've two websites, and both are blank now.

Crazy.  :ranton: Now it does! But the provider is not replying to my messages, so I don't actually understand what's up. It's very annoying.

Thank you. I hope you will find something interesting inside.
However, to be honest, I've to admit that the cover looks nice mainly thanks to the wonderful drawing of that red Fiat 522 Spyder done in 1931 by count Mario Revelli di Beaumont: I added little to it...

An that's rigth indeed. Definitely one of the best places I found in the last years...  :D

I had the opportunity to start reading it and it begins with something I really like:
before page 1, bottom left: "Collana Aesthetica . Volume 1".
How I like the idea of a new series of book to collect!

You have a sharp eye! Yes, It will be a series.
I have now the opportunity to access to two archives about mid-size quite famous coachbuilders and they will be next books.
One is "Carrozzeria Scioneri", the other is still under discussion  ;).
I hope to have Scioneri printed before summer.
