Here's a car I found online.
I know zero about.
1 point if you can solve the mistery.
(Don't ask, I can't answer ;) )

pnegyesi

do you know where the photo was taken?

Paul Jaray

Unfortunately there is not a single line with these pics...
here's a back view:

Carnut

It looks like something Alex Tremulis might have drawn and somebody decided to make..

Looks a bit like Bob Hope's 1950 Mercury Special (aka Templeton Saturn), maybe Lloyd Templeton was involved in this one ?

Carnut

Yes, I'd compared the two and thought the same; might be a connection.

Unfortunately I have not any answer, just these 2 pics.

I know, I was just sharing a thought.

Tuckeroo

All I know is it was for sale on ebay and based on a 1982 Lincoln MK VI (Fox Body, though seller had it listed incorrectly as MK IV)

Well found. But how do we find out any more? This guy must have spent a shedload of money to build this - he used brand new parts.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

pnegyesi

For what its worth I wrote an email to the guy who sold it on ebay. We'll see whether he replies

Tuckeroo

Yes I'm afraid my previous post was the beginning and end of my knowledge about it.

It looks happy!  :D
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

"The car that you mentioned was a custom car built by a gentleman who passed away.  We helped his widow market the car so she could get it sold.  Somewhere we have a file on it but it is not handy at the moment.  If I come across it I will send you some information on it."

In the meantime....black hole!

FWIW:

Built in the style of Ghia

"He purchased a brand new 1982 Lincoln chassis with new parts and a new Lincoln 460 cubic inch engine for his construction."

"John D'Angelo's Bullet"
According to the sign, the original builder started on this car right after World War II. Every body panel and trim piece is handmade. The doors slide out and down. A later owner put the body on "a modern Lincoln Continental chassis." Shows at 3rd Annual Rodder's Journal Revival, Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore, MD, September 27, 2014.

I'm glad we finally found the story of this amazing car. 2 well deserved points to you, Oguerrerob!
