It looks a lot like the "Reginette":
Yes it most definitely does! In fact, I have an image of the Reginette saved in my file on the puzzle vehicle, though I've since forgotten exactly why. At the time, I must have suspected (or perhaps been aware of?) a connection between the two. In any case, the puzzle vehicle appeared approximately one year before the Reginette and none of the sources I have (three in total) mention any connection.

By the way, don't let what appears to be the letter "U" on the side of the puzzle vehicle lead you astray. I have no idea what that is or why it's there. Neither the name of the vehicle nor it's maker begin with the letter U.

Possibly helpful:

This vehicle was presented at a major automotive event in 1921.

The image is from a period French magazine that I found archived online. I failed to make a note of the particular magazine for some reason, but do I know in which online archive it was found (enormous French archive, seven-letter name, begins with 'G' ;)). A subsequent search revealed multiple mentions of this vehicle on various websites, but none of these contained photos.

My suggestion is to begin by identifying the major automotive event from 1921 at which the vehicle was presented.

Update: I just searched that archive and instantly found the magazine article. It's a French automotive magazine from 1921.

Monocar Bardeau
According to some sources, the model name was 'Santax'. Regardless, two more points for you!
