AFAIK the chassis was built by Hahn - Stutgart and the body by Huber.
There was a similar car driven by Emil Vorster and built by Drews - Wuppertal. But this was not a F2 car but a "Kleinstrennwagen" with a 750cc engine. Later this car was sold to Heeks who put a 2litre engine and raced in F2 from 1950.

I have been reading and documenting myself on AFM for several hours. The afm Kleinstrennwagen is the same as my puzzle but I can't find any reference on the coachbuilder. The rare photos of AFM Huber that I could find have a different front. Now, I'm on autopuzzles to complete this encyclopedia and of course I could be wrong, but we're opening the discussion. Now can you give me a photo of drews and a photo of Huber.

Huber did the 1950 cars built for Stuck (Küchen V8), Riess and Krakau/Niedermeyer as well, The car on your picture is the first one built in 49 driven by Falkenhausen, Stuck, Brauchitsch (1950) and the sold in 1951 to Ludwig Fischer.
Here you'll some pictures of the Vorster car built by Drews.

I agree with you regarding the car, but isn't the driver Alex von Falkenhausen?

There is a dispute who actually built the body of the AFM 49. Reinald Schumann claims Willy Huber to have been the coachbuilder, Rainer Simons claims Drews. In the Drews book there is a picture of Stuck at Nürburgring (# 106) showing the car from the left side with a Drews emblem in front of the rear wheels.

No. I'll try to post the photo this weekend.
But the Drews emblem is at the same place.
