Is it some version of Ennio Bonomelli's Lola-Porsche?

I think it could be Porsche 910 Scuderia Etna Categoria Sport-Classe da 1601 a 2000 cc piloti Angelo Bonaccorsi - Alfio Nicolosi 1972 at Targa Florio Sicilia, Italy

Great found! And I think, there must be a connection between the puzzle-car and this probably mis-designated 910 you've found.
Sadly, it isn't a 910, but 1972 and not 1601 to 2000 ccm
LOCKED for you for three attempts

I agree that the body of this Scuderia Etna car and that of the puzzle car are almost certainly one and the same. A funny thing is that I have this image in my own digital archive, which I never bothered to look through.

Sorry, GTE4289.

I've found this picture in a Targa Florio specialist page. This car is not even mentioned in the Scuderia Etna page or their Facebook. That's all I have. Please, don't locked it, I have no further answer

Ok, unlocked again.
Interesting to follow your discussion. I am absolutely sure too, that there's a connection between the puzzle car and the Targa Florio car, you've found.
1972 is correct, Porsche-based is correct, and Alfio Nicolosi was envolved.
But: It is designated to the company, which built the car. It haven't used an engine for competiton class 1601-2000ccm and it wasn't based on a 910
