Yes, it is a Veritas, but when the drawing was made, the scorpion was not yet to be thought of. The drawing is not by Spohn either.

The Veritas Nürburgring did not exist until later. The design drawing is not by Autenrieth.

SACO, you are right. It's a drawing from saoutchik. My source tells the following story:
One more point for you. At the Paris Salon in 1949, Mr Saoutchik contacted Mr Dietrich at the Veritas booth. The company saoutchik created the design of a convertible, but veritas was running low on cash and therefore no order was placed. A certain resemblance to the Scorpion from 1950, however, cannot be overlooked. Here a photo of the Veritas Scorpion:
