This appears to be a repost, which is understandable since the previous title identified the car as "750" instead of "700":

https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2012-41/barrett's-309-solved-giannini-fiat-750-4c-coupe/

By the way, the last post in that thread claims that the car was marketed only as a Moretti and "never as a Fiat, nor a Giannini."

Sorry to say that, but Spider's answer is not 100% correct.

The car is the Moretti 700 4C. The engine was actually made by Giannini and is a prototype of 4-cyl. boxer 700 cc (not 750).
The chassis is indeed Fiat (from the 500 F), but the car was never been told as a Fiat, nor a Giannini.
It was marketed by Moretti and after a few (probably only 2) units with the 700 4C unit, some more were built with the original Fiat 500 engine, as the Moretti 500 Coupé.

That said, the Giannini badge can clearly be seen on the nose of the car in the black & white photo below (which corresponds to the same car/photo shoot as puzzle photo). I believe the plate below the front bumper reads "FIAT Giannini" as well.

In addition, the brochures below identify the car as a Giannini, but these might not be original materials from the manufacturer.

The reason I called it a Moretti, was because of the same information in the quote of your last post.
But I didn't found it online, but in a well documented paper source  ;)

But it seems the car was actually badged and presented as a Fiat Giannini.

Yes, it was posted before as a Giannini but I posted it looking for the 'Moretti' answer!
It was shown at the Turin Show in Novvember 1967 badged as a Giannini, which is probably the car shown in the publicity photos.  It had been built by Moretti but was powered by a 4-cylinder 700 cc Giannini boxer engine made by pairing two cylinder and head modules from a Fiat 500.  However Domenico Giannini died very soon after that and the plug was pulled on the project as it was going to be too expensive to build to ever make a profit and they feared reliability problems.
But Moretti didn't want to waste that nice Frua-designed body so put it into production as the Moretti 700/4C with a regular Fiat 500 engine, and a few were made and marketed as a Moretti before the plug was pulled on that too.
So morphly gets the point as it was only ever sold as a Moretti and we've had the Giannini prototype before.
Hope this clears the story up!
