I have it as a Hindustan related project for an Indian "Volkswagen".
4-door plastic-body; equipped with an 20HP air-cooled 2cyl. 2-stroke engine with 730cc;
236 cm wheelbase, 381 cm length overall.
Independent suspension on each wheel.

Sometimes known as the Pingle or H.A.L.-Pingle after its designer Pingle Reddy who was a senior executive at the Hindustan Aricraft Co., this was a small but roomy 4-door saloon powered by a 700cc 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine driving the front wheels. It had a fiberglass body on a separate steel chassis, hydraulic brakes and torsion bar suspension on all four wheels. A price of 4600 rupees (about £345 at the prevailing rate of exchange) was fixed, but production never started.

I can add that there were at least 2 different prototypes, differing in some details, such as the doors and the hood.
