No..

Sorry Richard, I've misled you!
The basis car is in fact from the USA.

Well, all that is the information given when it was posted before.
But a) although the base is a 1946 chassis that's not when the car was built and b) Bellco did not exist yet when the body was built.
So what I need for the point is the correct answer to both of those questions.

Sorry, I cannot found any information, only this:
"1946, Bellco produced the body for the Silver Buick, Japan's first all-steel fastback."

Yes, sorry, the information is very hard to find.
But as I said it's the base car which is from 1946 not this body and the Bellco name was yet to appear when the car did!

Just a wild guess, but the wheels look Mopar-ish. Maybe 1948 Dodge or similar? ???

The most recent sources I could find identify this car as the "Eagle" by Suzuki Sheet Metal (later renamed "Bellco"). It was reportedly ordered by an American officer (identified by some sources as a "CIA officer") stationed in Japan circa 1950. The same sources state that the car was built on a custom-made chrome-moly tubular frame.

Most of this information was also posted in the previous thread by Paul Jaray, yet his post was never acknowledged.

Also, in case any confusion exists over the Japanese names:

Vehicle
「イーグル号」
"Iguru-gō"
"Eagle"

Manufacturer
鈴木板金製
Suzuki Bankin-Sei
Suzuki Sheet Metal

Yes, Suzuki Sheet Metal is what I was looking for (not quite what PJ said..)
Just one of this model was made in 1948 according to my information, but it seems other models were also made for some US officers.
I haven't seen the 'Eagle' name mentioned in my info though.
I'll give you your point and merge the puzzles now.
Well done.
