The BMW 'kidneys' ruin the whole design in my opinion. Looks like a low-slung pig at the front

It may not be the most beautiful solution but it's nowhere near as bad as some of BMW's own efforts of late.
Did they get the Blind Institute to design their latest 7-Series? That grille is HIDEOUS!:

No offense meant esp. not regarding Trevor Fiore who is one of my all time favorite automotive designers (Gilbern T11, Alpine A310, Monteverdi hai  ;) ), but think this isn't one of his best works.

And of course the BMW design gets worse and worse since it's not Europa and USA anymore to be BMW's biggest market...

That's right.  I think the Chinese seem to like these huge gaping grilles!
