I think the base car is a 1926 Perl Suprema. The room in front of the radiator was probably occupied by the pump.

You found it! In use by the Hitzendorf Voluntary Fire Department from 1926 - 1939. I think you're probably correct about the base, though I have nothing to confirm this.
