No, not with this car.

I meet the builder of this car last weekend at the Festival of Speed, so I can now confirm that the car is powered by a pre-Cross Flow Ford engine

I doubt it as I believe this car has been in its builder's ownership since it was made.

I had a trawl through the BH for the sister car - the only possibilities are 2 clubmans style cars IMHO. Since I can't identify either, it doesn't really help!

Wow, well done, as this is indeed one of the numerous IRH specials (though IRH V, not VII) built by my old friend Ian Headon, who sadly passed away early last year. Ian was a lovely chap that gathered quite a collection of cars (Jaguar being his real passion) as well as his own home-built specials that he used for competition.

I will PM you as I am very intrigued how and where you found your information, as I am sure his widow will be fascinated to see any information about him and his cars on-line.

A newspaper cutting from the Headon family (I assume) which I have left in large format so that it is easier to read. The cutting is clearly marked IRH7 which is rather confusing. My source also called his trials car IRH2, which is the identity of puzzle Djetset #664. Even more confusing!
