D-type

An Australian Holden-powered special with the grille from a Massey-Ferguson tractor?
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

SACO

Not an Australian Holden !

Looks as if it's a late pre-war rebody of some 1930s thing we'd all recognise!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Wendax

It is a 1934 SS Jaguar.

Djetset

I seem to remember reading some years ago that Pourtout 'clothed' an SS 'Jaguar' in the 1930s, but have never seen any photographic proof. I wonder if this is that car?!
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Allan L

Probably based on an SS90 (which was sidevalve) rather than the SS100 Jaguar which was o.h.v., but in the minds of the lay public and auctioneers any SS car is a Jaguar.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Wendax

If it is really a 1934 car, it should be a SS1, I guess.

SACO

Standard Swallow SS1 1932 with a younger body !
1 point for Wendax ! :)
