Looks like one of Ghia's late '40s designs on a Delahaye chassis...

You've got the right car.
What make and model is the base though and who actually built the real car that this was a sketch for?
Locked for you!

A Citroen traction 15 six !

#9
Yes, exactly!
The other name I was looking for was Sheet Metal Working Triplex, but that is in fact just a translation of what TTT stands for (Travail de la Tôle et du Triplex)
The actual car built was a convertible as pictured by SACO and it's been puzzled here already; I don't know if the coupé was ever built.

This reminds me of those ads of the 40s through to the 60s where the motor manufacturers' advertising department artists would elongate the look of their products to make the cars seem at least a third longer and a quarter lower .....and occupants' heads tiny. I think I recall BMC cars, especially Austins, being depicted like this - and all American cars, of course. Those inevitably had good looking women with long mink stoles stepping into, say, the latest chrome-laden Buick, with a fine, Palladium Columned house in the background and the Ivy League husband making his way to the car in a svelte suit.

No harm done and quite entertaining, really.   ;D ;D

That would make a nice topic for the Featured imagery sub-forum : "Vintage car drawings with unrealistic proportions".
