Also at the LeMay´s family museum I've found that car as a NOPEC of 1987 that should be the year of the transformation of the original Subaru 360. But no reference at all about the material used to cover the body, it looks to me that can be a textil product as waterproof canvas or a syntetic film as butyl or poliethilene...

The car is covered in naugahyde. As mentioned on the attached image, "No Naugas were killed in the making of this vehicle".

Thanks SixteeScuda for the point. The only way that I've considered to kknow the material covering the body was to visit the museum, but no bus was available from Barcelona to Tacoma at this time...
