I have not seen an indication that VW parts were used, but I suppose it is possible. Engine definitely not VW.

It is an English autocross special based on a Lotus.

It seems to be a rear-engined Lotus 7. No doubt pictured at a Players No.6 Autocross meeting.

It is a rear-engined Lotus, probably based on a 7 (source does not say which Lotus was involved).

Not sure about Players No.6, location was not specified.
