That's just about all I know about it too!
I believe it was made in Sri Lanka (probably still known as Ceylon back in 1964).

Doesn't look all that similar to me..

The Padmini was not in production until 1967, I think. The fold on the bonnet, the grille's outline, the headlights and the postion of the lights below it, the look of the roof, it all comes very close in my mind. But then again, it's doubts expressed on an Indian site.
