I have found another source out there that says it was built later, in 1970, but I will trust the 1966 date given by my original source (which is the one you have found too). BTW the name the car was given later was "Trevlin", from brothers Trevor and Linden Kerwin, who not only chopped off the roof but also replaced the original Renault 10 1100cc engine with a Mitsubishi 1300cc unit.
