Observe the logo in the center of the wheel. Is it the manufacturer's logo?

As I revealed the name in an FB group yesterday, it was only a matter of time before someone realised it :) Yes, that's all I know too.

A dream comes true- this was one of my favourite mystery cars, so I feel happy you found out a bit more about it!
Could you also show us the text where you found this name?

Sorry, only a small correction to Wendax's fabulous picture of the car at the harness racing track: It is not Freudenau in Vienna, but Krieau in Vienna...

Are you sure the name is Hainischs? Or is it just the genitive case of the much more common name Hainisch?

Exactly my thoughts.

There are German family names like
Hanitzsch
or
Hainisch
but
Hainischs felt very weird in the German language center if my brain.

Hainisch it is then.

Hainischs Steyr is simply the genitive form like in English Mr Hainisch’s Steyr.
Great.

A new source and a new photo has unearthed!

I always wondered, which older Steyr engine would fit under that very flat bonnet
- maybe here is an explanation found in a 1937 German magazine.

I claims the name of the driver/builder was Heinisch and the car to be a Steyr-Maserati Special:

Its owner was Gustav Heinisch, director of the Bleiberger Bergwerks-Union.
