No.

It was a short-lived but highly celebrated road race that drew participants from around the world. The Bimbo was piloted by two local children, a sister and brother (seen in my photo), and was allowed to take off ahead of the actual competitors as an interesting way to kick-off the event. The children drove the little Bimbo for a kilometer or two and then safely pulled off the course at a ranch before the real competitors were unleashed.

RICTOSI

Good morning everyone.
I registered today here, after having read many interesting discussions over the past days.
I'm 47 and live in Milano, Italy.
I've always been attracted by strange cars or coachbuilts while never being able owning one.

My first post is about a photo I took in 1995 the day I bought my first Volkswagen Beetle, a 1955 "oval" ragtop that was sitting unused for 22 years in a garage.
That day, driving back home with the old VW on the trailer I spotted this weird car body sitting on its side in a field not far away from the Beetle's previous owner home.
I had a camera with me because I wanted to document that day so I could also photograph this.
Never been able to recognize this microcar (at least it appears like one) always thinking it was something between a Volpe and a Messerschmitt.
I am also uploading a photo of of the old VW that you might appreciate too.

I want to apologize for the quality of the photo but I couldn't get any closer.
Hope you appreciate and maybe help.

Thanks

RICTOSI
