This is odd because that's entirely different information from what I have about this car!
I know it says on the "That's Classic Site" that that is the car's name and it gives a full story; to break with normal rules here is that story:

But this car has been puzzled here before with a completely different name and story:

Both stories sound barely plausible to me but one of them is most probably right...
Which one?

So it does look like the story in my original puzzle 6 years ago is a load of old cobblers!
I won't merge these puzzles as it will be interesting to keep the original as a separate story, but I will add a note to the original puzzle to say that the story has now been disproved, and I'll redirect anyone reading it to this thread.

What I can confirm is that 'Concept Car; is definitely NOT part of this prototype Vauxhall's name and should be removed from the title please as it's inaccurate.

It certainly doesn't bear much resemblance to the fifties US 'concept cars' that we all know so well..
And it wasn't a car developed by the factory with a view to production either; perhaps 'Proposal' would be the correct word?

OK, I've changed the title.
So I was well and truly 'had' back in 2014.
Reading it now it seems such a ridiculous story I don't know why I believed it; it was of course on quite a respectable website so that lent the story some credence.
What should have set the alarm bells ringing was the claim that Joan Armatrading owned it.. If she had I'm sure there would have been a photo of her with it included in the blurb!
