For 1 point, what's this car, who designed it and when?

That's it, yes.  Well done.
My puzzles are just too easy. Not even a question is necessary!
I do hope no-one is using Google Search by Image...

Carnut, the puzzle car is clearly 50s, I looked for Volvo and then Volga, then I looked for English cars, the line is very Anglo-Saxon, and I searched for the English brands of the period, I searched brand by brand until I found the solution. I didn't use image search, but I used the internet. I don't think I have broken any rules, but I think I no longer participate in solving puzzles.

Dear 'ducamax66', no need to feel offended or attacked. If I would have felt like you, I would have had to stop solving puzzles immediately, after I have solved the first ones. I remember, everybody of the 'long-time-established pro's' felt convinced, that I've used 'google-search-by-image'. And, after thinking why that happened, I went clear, I've offered the right answer, without any questioning. Of course, this made people suspicious. Of course, nobody noticed that I spent a lot of time researching. A way to find a solution, how you act too apperently. Absolutely within the rules.

My advice: 'AutoPuzzles' isn't a hard competition, but a brilliant game for car-nuts. Please, only think about yourself. You are the player. You are allowed to use all the different puzzles, proofing your personal knowledge. You cannot reach a goal, like 'World Champion'! We are only using leisure time, to follow our hobby. Nothing more
I hope this helps a little bit, blowing anger in the winds

Carnut

Please don't be offended ducamax.
As an Editor I feel it's sometimes necessary to stress our rules, but this isn't aimed at one specific puzzler but everyone.
I've noticed your interest in the Italian coachbuilders and am sure you have a wide knowledge of them and wouldn't be tempted to break the rules; others might so I'm reminding everybody. Using the internet certainly doesn't break any rules because this an internet-based site and it's often the only way a puzzle can be solved.
Your participation is very valued and It would be a shame to deny yourself (and us) the pleasure of you being on site solving puzzles because I was reminding everyone of the rules.
I wouldn't like to be in the situation where I can't remind people for fear of offending someone. All those who play fairly have nothing to worry about.

BTW I'm sure this has been a previous puzzle, but it doesn't show on a search. Was it part of a group puzzle maybe ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I searched using only 'Armstrong Siddeley' as there weren't many of them to go through, and this one didn't show up.
Maybe somebody spelled it "Armstrong-Siddeley" but I think I checked that too!
