Well in that case it is the Hayman SR2 originally built for Russell Murray of Montreal by Roger Hayman and fitted with an alloy Oldsmobile 215 engine.

That's the machine, although with a Chevrolet V8 for most of its existence as the Olds engine was only briefly tried in this Can Am car. I'm very pleased you got there in the end Tobytwirl, and although I was also after the year (1965-66) I will award you the point anyway as a reward for your perseverance  :)

The car still exists. Is it coming to the Revival this year? We've had a Chinook and a Hamill.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I wish it was coming along to the Revival this year, but I didn't know the car still existed. I'll try and track it down for next year's Revival  ;)
