Well solved. It originally had a GSM body which answers that enigma.

Some more details about the story of this car:
The Don-Parker-built Nimbus started life in South Africa as a special with a Riley engine. In 1957 the car came as a rolling chassis to the UK. Don put then the first made fibreglass bodywork of Willi Meissner's and Bob van Nierkerk's GSM Delta on his own built chassis. The completed Nimbus started his race-career in the UK with an 1172 Ford engine installed, mated to a Norton gearbox and chain-driven to a solid rear axle.
About 1965 Don completely rebuilt the Nimbus with a mid-mounted Mini Cooper engine mated to a Shorrocks blower. He ran the car in competition until 1979

Yes, it is the Nimbus when it was 1172 Ford powered. So I still need the Formula and the year please.

1) The Nimbus was powered by the 1172cc Ford engine from 1957 to 1964/65

I don't know if I can really thank you, for what you did.
Before you 'awarded' me with a (subtracted) point, I had already reached a score of '710' points. After solving 'DAR 74' and thanks to your generosity, I now only have '709' points on my account instead of the correct '711'.
I know, that you are not very keen on awarding me points, but please be so fair and establish the correct score.

Very, very questionable behavior, if you look at the progression of the puzzle over time and on the dates of the respective point deductions. I see no evident connection with the puzzle and any need or authorization of 'D-type' to manipulate my score in any way at the respective times.

..and a lot of uncertainty whether this all happened by coincidences. Everyone should take its own opinion about it. No comment

Initially I awarded you a point. Then I realised that although you had provided a lot of information you hadn't answered two of my my specific questions, ie Formula and year. So I subtracted the point and said what answers I still needed to complete the puzzle. When I got the answers I wanted I added the point again. At least that's what I thought I had done. So your total should have increased by one.
It looks as if initially I accidentally subtracted when I meant to add a point. Pure fat fingers and nothing personal.
So what's the solution? Should I now add two points?
