That was an interesting puzzle. I've been to the Beaujolais, but didn't know about these tractors before.

They were several small builders in this wine region with particular relief. In addition to "Béné", there was Jacquet, mentioned above or Raymond. There were probably others even smaller. In fact, almost every farm equipment dealer produced vineyard tractors on customer demand, often as a single piece each time. The fairly permissive legislation at the time allowed it.
