I'm puzzled by the puzzle! Having looked at a few relevant images, the starting handle on V4 and V5 cars are offset to the left of the centreline, unlike the puzzle. Unless your source is 24 carat, my "real" guess is that the puzzle car did not have the V16 engine. As for the coachbuilder,....Brianza?

Maserati A6 1500 gt 1946. It is chassis # 052 with bodywork by Zagato and used to fine-tune the engine, chassis (Gilco) and suspension. Later it was rebuilt again by Zagato in the Panoramica model.

Gentlemen, and to whom it may concern. My understanding of the rules is that a request for unlock does not constitute unlock until confirmed by the puzzle host. My view is that consideration might be given to a simplification whereby a request for unlock is granted automatically.

I am not a great fan of locking in the first instance, as it can often merely delay a rapid solution which several others are ready to offer.  As indicated at an earlier time, I prefer answers to points.  The absence of locks would make "Autopuzzles" much more of a team effort, speed things up, and still allow points to be awarded at the discretion of he who posts the puzzle.

Frontman, I'm sorry, it's already the second time that I "steal" the answer, it was not my intention. Using the smartphone and not the pc, sometimes I don't pay attention to whether the posts are blocked or not, also because the writings are very small and my eyesight is getting old with me (56 years old). I ask again not to get the point (if I gave the right answer).

Are the "rules" about locking/unlocking anywhere on the site?
Or the rules about permissible picture alterations for that matter?

Are these cars the same chassis with different bodies, or rather two different A6 prototypes ?
