One of the Barlow-Simcas,  I think there were three built in or around 1952.

No Simca bits and nothing to do with anyone called Barlow!

This has foxed me. I have a photo of what I thought was this car, racing in the USA, and sporting an MG badge on its nose. I assumed it was the Roger Barlow Simca special that was later converted to run with an MG engine. Am I barking in the wrong arboretum?

I've looked into this and you are in fact barking up the right tree..

I was looking for the answer the Ed Freutel MG Special, but now I'm not sure if it was him who changed the motor and it is in fact the Barlow Simca Special after the engine was changed to an MG.
I apologise for saying it had nothing to do with anyone called Barlow as it is the same car.
So let's call it solved and give you your point!
